Multiple times in marvel bruce banner speaks of attempts to kill himself to no avail; the hulk always takes over and prevents his loss of life. There is really a prelude to world war hulk set on earth in the far future with no life save swarms of locust that tear him apart until they go on and he is in a position to fully regenerate, even from a state of currently being torn in half and organs eaten. He also exists on the core of a planet and star, so tossing him in one of people is a no go. This is a matter of a completely indestructible opponent unless you are able to cease his existence, not kill him. I am not as informed on superman's powers but unless superman has infinite endurance and invulnerability he cannot win. If he does have that, this becomes a fight that finishes when the sunshine explodes and from my understanding would limit superman's regenerative powers.
